The Minotaur is born of King Minos's wife and a prized bull. It is not the minotaur's fault that he was born cursed, shoved into a maze at birth since he was so unsightly. While the Minotaur is blameless when it comes to the conditions of his birth, the fact remains that he is dangerous. He needs to be locked up in the center of the maze.
